Brief History

Camp Hospital Rottnest was raised on the island in July 1940 with 30 beds to service the fixed defence and supporting units on the island. In June 1942 a re-organisation of camp hospital occurred, resulting in the unit's name changing to 39th Australian Camp Hospital.
