Electoral Roll entries - 1916-1917 clerk at "Regent House" St Georges court, Perth
War Service
Although he first signed enlistment papers on 19 Oct 1916, he does not commence training until 5 Jan 1917 and is immediately made a member of the 19th reinforcement draft for the 28th Battalion.
On arrival in England he joined the 7th Training Battalion at Rolleston to complete his training.
Entered France on 17 Jun 1918 after periods in British hospitals with mumps and periostitis, but soon after arriving in France he was admitted to hospital with influenza [2 Jul 1918] and he returned to England on 26 Aug 1918.
After recovering, he was posted to AIF HQs. Returned to Australia as a member of ship's staff, before being discharged by 5th Military District on 26 May 1920.

Sister's husband Arthur Tilly was a chemist living in Kelmscott 1911 - 1921.
