Brief History
No 2 Airfield Defence Squadron was formed on 10 April 1945 at Morotai. ( Now known as No 2 Security Forces Squadron, part of No 95 Wing with the headquarters based at RAAF Base Amberley). Its main responsibilities included security and air base defences. It consisted of a HQs and five rifle companies.
A Flight (Rifle Company) was deployed to Labuan during the landing at Labuan. The unit was disbanded on 29 Oct 1945
