Brief History
This unit began when the AASC detachment which was manning the Detail Issue Depot in Moora was designated as Y' DID. It was renamed 15th Detail Issue Depot in December. Relieved byy the 16th DID in January 1943, it moved to Mingenew where it was re-organised as the 49th Dupply Depot Platoon in May 1943. IN November they returned to Moora, and when in July 1944 when there were only a few troops left in WA, it moved to Melville where they disbanded in August 1944.
